Happy Holidays

Hey,

Just hoping everyone has a happy, safe holiday season and a very excellent new year.
Hockey season is over (we lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs) and maybe there will be more time in 2009 for musical chaos. Plus Andy and his family are back in the states -- maybe he'll have time to jam with us -- that would be pretty cool. He could be like the Paul Simon of the group, even though he was never in the Beatles.
In the meantime, I'll be building Leggos & K'Nex with Jesse, playing with Ye Olde Littlest Pet Shoppe with Leah and who knows what with Annie.
P,L,F,
Jim

2 Reasons Why I Love Vampires

Ahhh -- Fall is here and I know that because?

a) The Cubs are eliminated?

b) The Bengals are off to a great start?

No... because the greatest beer ever made by humans is back on the shelves of my favorite vendor. I am speaking, of course, of Nosferatu Ale by the Great Lakes Brewing Company. This may very well be one of the greatest things ever to come out of Cleveland. It's a hearty & hoppy red ale with a great scent, a wicked flavor and, with 7% APV, a nice lil' kick to it. I'd stand it up against any ale I can think of, including Arrogant Bastard.

If you have the scratch (it is over $10 for a 4-pack) I highly recommend you give it a try. I personally prefer to sample a few around a warm firepit while distributing candy to hooded neighborhood hooligans (or, as I like to call it, "Wednesday"). But you might just find your own thing.

And, if you find it is not to your liking, I will happily buy from you any remaining non-empty bottles, growlers, kegs, etc.

Just drop me an email and share your favorite Nosferatu moment. There's strength in numbers.

Thanks!

Jim

P.S. Oh, reason #2... yeah, I still think most Goth chicks are totally hot.

Wondertwin Powers -- Craptivate!

Hello,

I've added a few new MP3z to the site including our version of "Black Magic Woman."

This was done in response to two drunk rednecks in Bellevue - one of whom said "I just bet my friend here you can't play Black Magic Woman."

Hear for yourself -- it isn't perfect but it was good enough for at least 2 drunks, if not more.

Gllleeeeearghblaffabglab!!!

There's good news and there's bad news...

The good news is that a fine person out there recorded some video from our most recent show in Bellevue.

The bad news is... well, see for yourself:

Damn, what a show!

Pretty awesome if I rememeber it right, but I rarely do.

A great big and huge thanks to Ted for letting us do this at his new house with new neighbors.

And it was just incredible to see so many familiar faces again: Chris, Eric, Tim, and the gang -- and to our sister Sharon who stayed until the very end - thanks! And to our wives and friends who made the trip -- thank you. Dan, your mom really enjoyed the show.

And uber-thanks of the night go to Maureen who hosted our very first show ever and came to bring it all full-circle. It was great to catch up and to realize just how small-town this area is -- we may end up being related, who knows?

A great show and a WHOLE lot of fun to do it all again after 15 years or more.

Thanks to everyone involved -- excpet Ellis B -- you're a dog.

Spit Pics

Digital stuff is awesome, isn't it?

Anyone who is willing and able to bring a digital camera to Saturday's show, please do so!
I'd love to be able to pst some pics and maybe an audio clip or two from the show.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help out.

Fishheads

Long before our friends in Vermont had Phishheads selling veggie burritos, we had a core of friends and fans we affectionately call "Fishheads". I would like to hear from all of you. I want to do a feature profile monthly on a Fishead a month. Send a post saying,"Peace,Love, and Fish". I will choose one a month and contact you to ge an interview and a profile done. Just think of the exposure! Contact Ted at ted@spitfish.com.

Yar!

Okay, we're getting ready for the 1st show in... what... 15, 16 years... something like that. It's going to be very cool.

I got the decal for the bass drum today, the picks are ordered and the T-shirts are available. So, marketing-wise we are SO on the ball.

Musically, I have brand new strings on all 3 guitars, the PA is all set up and we are ready to roll. I just need to make a few notes on the playlist so I remember the effects settings for each song -- or I could just keep getting louder as the night progresses and beer consumption increases... not sure which way to go just yet.
